My approach to therapy is integrative and based on your needs. I believe in offering you a space that is caring and non-judgmental that will allow you to feel safe enough to explore your challenges.

Individual therapy is a personalised process and every session is unique. If I am unable to assist, I will do my best to refer you to the right health care professional.

Run or Walk Therapy

There's an established and growing body of research that points to exercise as a helpful adjunct in mental health treatment. Spending time outside has many physical and mental benefits. Aside from the physical benefits of running and walking there are numerous psychological benefits. Such activity releases your natural mood-elevating compounds. The challenges that running or walking presents can help you learn more about yourself, lessons that can carry over into other areas of your life.

During therapy, especially with children, a consultation room can be perceived as intimidating or threatening. Even for some adult clients sitting still is difficult and by being active and being side by side is less intrusive than a typical consulting room set-up. Running or walking side by side can make it easier to talk about painful experiences and deal with negative feelings.

So, why not take therapy to nature and experience running or walking while talking? My office is in a security estate with strict security protocols where you can enjoy the outdoors. Run or walk therapy is not about the physical training it is engaging in a therapy relationship to come to know yourself. When we work together, our focus is on your strengths and helping you grow holistically to live a meaningful life.

Rates and Medical Aid

Most appointments are scheduled for hourly sessions.

You are responsible for the payment of your session. I am registered at the BHF and my fee is in line with the various medical aids. Upon your payment, I will provide you with a document to be sent to your medical aid.

To make the most of your initial session, I require you to complete an intake form to be returned before the commencement of the first session.
